Thought of the day

From Safety To Where  . . .  ?

Posted on 19 June 2016

Another success and it does seem to be easier each year - keep moving to keep stable - new friends, renewed friends - oh, yes, to live another year to have that warmth again - it sometimes seems to be all there is - I can’t wait.

Where are the young men

Some Candy Talking

Posted on 21 May 2016

Another year drifts by and Candy is still waiting at Beachy Head. Going over the same old ground, a rabbit still caught in the headlamps - words and images, sound and vision. What it is to be me - look and see, look at me. There is no tomorrow, it is always today, the past is always about to happen. You do not have to jump, just wait as the ground will soon erode away beneath your feet. Timeless and so precious.

500 Miles

Posted on 6 June 2015

Hello

Oh, gosh - this year’s theme tune - chanting every step along the way - watch the vid  . . .  Come on, do I have to say the Proclaimers.

Here we go, laced up boots and corduroys - Sham 69, whatever happened to Mr Pursey  . . .  hey, Jimmy  . . .  Scottish today or what, tartan kilt or skirt.

It starts now - catch it all in the Walk Diary - walking on sunshine  . . .

Never Mind The Bollocks

Cruel world - copyright infringements hang over all films and Nancy is now blocked worldwide

Is neverunderstand.co.uk going to be the way forward?   watch this space

On a brighter note    -    the South Downs Way walk starts on 6 June, follow every step of my journey as it progresses on the Walks Diary page at  neverunderstand2      -  we’ll be with you all the way.

La Vie En Rose

Silence

Posted on 28 February 2015

Still falling … again

Take a breath, still trying to make the site work - it is never easy -

Gone

Posted on 3 October 2014

So tired … so soon … what happened to him

The end comes so suddenly, another crisis and that was it … move out, move on - never look back.

Anyway … what was his name?

Killer in the Home

there is a house in the picture

inside the house is a room

once around it is a short circuit

when times are hard i think about you

four walls one has a window one has a door which i go out of

just thought you’d like to know

Home is the Range

Posted on 19 June 2014

Early start tomorrow - the sandwiches are cut and the kit bag is packed.

The South Downs Way beckons and it looks like it is going to be pretty good weather.

Nine days of walking from Winchester to Eastbourne - follow my progress each day as it is posted every evening on the “Walk Diary” page at neverunderstand2.webs.com

Be back soon

Bride of Frankenstein

Posted on 12 May 2014

“It’s alive” his awed whisper breaks the heavy silence.

“Yeah, you go girl!” - the shout goes up . . . it makes me proud.

The cord is finally cut . . . the screaming begins, just a few words of welcome . . .

. . . and so the alternative alternative website has now been created - this one is certainly less difficult but there is still plenty to look at - especially the walking, there are more pictures and some hobbies . . . even The Quiz gets a look in.

Never Understand II -  neverunderstand2.webs.com  or use the links on the homepage.

There is still much work to be done on both sites but they are certainly well worth visiting frequently as there are often many additions and changes to be seen.

Ballad of Dwight Fry

Posted on 25 April 2014

I’ve been gone for fourteen days  . . .  I could’ve been gone for more  . . .

Life reflects art and is dismissed just as easily - bad day, bad year  . . .  bad life, as if  . . . who knew.

Life is so much like James Joyce but with punctuation marks  . . .  pause to breathe  . . .  or else we would almost certainly choose not to continue this struggle.

Let me alone

Don’t touch me!

Disenchanted

Posted on 17 February 2014

Like a game of snakes and ladders it is never obvious to say which are the ups and which are the downs - the ride is just so uneven - the garden of eden was never just filled by fruits. Disorder and disarray, always a common complaint. Struggle through and hope that the best is yet to come - flatline and count to one hundred - just flatline and relax.

Excellent Birds

The kaleidoscope is a bumpy ride, it is not always easy and there has been a recent rush to upload already existing items. The process continues and once we have caught up there will become a more stately procession of new items.

There is plenty to browse and consider, so keep returning to the land of grey and pink.

Well, things have certainly brightened up some and an enthusiasm is now seeking release - no doubt caused by the arrival of a few Christmas cards, people are always so kind and supportive.

The ultimate test for 2014 will be to breathe a spark of life into The Victim and create a new film - set the juices flowing by adding the remaining two films and then, in time honoured fashion, apply the electrodes and create a monster - “It’s alive” cries another banner headline … but, no … it is only The Bride of Frankenstein (God bless Elsa) that totters wilfully across the screen. Yeah, you go girl.

What have we in mind, no clues .. The screenplay has been coalescing and it merely needs a way to make it happen - it is difficult to be both sides of the camera. We shall see.

As may have been noticed, the Quiz page has now been culled … could not get it to do what I wanted … and the page may now become a shrine to those that inspire us.

Keep an alert eye out for what is happening on these pages as we wish all you voyeurs a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Love xx

Blue Light

Posted on 12 December 2013

As one sinks down in the abyss,no light penetrates the depths to which one reaches.

Indeed, quite a lot has been added since the last post (one does not have to explain the play on words, it is always better to chat to Candy and then no one will ever understand) and now there is more flesh to the bone. The ideas are taking shape amongst the ephemeral spectres and hopefully more is to follow shortly. Chin up.

A life guardian patrols.

The darkness may be complete but nothing is ever finished and I submit to trust - no outside voices here can tear the day to shreds.

So Tonight That I Might See

Posted on 9 October 2013

Well, things have not been working out for the web-site just lately - there seems to have been the occasional visitor but as new material remains absent there is little to encourage.

There have been other issues happening, not all bad but time consuming, and there has also been a late summer holiday which recently drew my attention and soon there will be the annual autumn visit to recover the lost ground - many happy returns.

Things have been slowly moving forward but nothing is finished, yet - Candy 10 is coming along, the digital Virna just needs a few more buttons to be pressed. As people never understand I shall need to be around when things go live.

The photos that have been taken on my travels may be worth a little look when they eventually appear.

So much time and so little achieved.

New Boots and Panties

Posted on 4 September 2013

Hi to everyone who likes a good ramble, such fun.

I have been in those ordinary trainers since early in the SDW walk and now I have finally got around to buying some new boots. They seem a good fit and let us hope that they go well. Maybe I will still wear the old boots that have currently fallen out of favour, we shall see.

As for the panties …

Been doing a little bit of gardening lately and so put some pictures on Snaps - worth a look, a bit of colour out the back.

Anyway, another day draws to a close.

Pop paper people printing “REBEL INSANE”

Posted on 21 August 2013

Well, the opening ceremony - were you there - who wasn’t - the crowds were flocking as if there were no tomorrow, as if - but that is the way the world will end, not with a bang but with the banner headline NeverUnderstand.  Shout it out, shout it loud NeverUnderstand NeverFuckingUnderstand.  Oh yeah, and Candy cut the cord - yeah, you go girl.

Anyway, enjoy the day. A new dawn fades.

Beyond the Blue Event Horizon

Posted on 19 August 2013

So, with a false start now fast disappearing below the horizon we seem to be limping along at a steady pace. Plenty still to do and many multi-media musings waiting their turn to walk into the light. Don’t you go there … but the call can be clearly heard … yeah, you go girl

Brave New World

Posted on 5 August 2013

Another day and a new beginning - so no change there then.

My website is gradually showing promise and every once in a while the spaces fill until whatever lies beneath slowly becomes obscured. It sounds like Candy is writing this …

So be it

All at sea

There are worse things to regret
